Ms. Jingti Chen

For over 50 years, Ms. Jingti Chen has been an early pioneer and ongoing visionary leader of China’s film and television industries.

She currently serves as The Chairwoman of the China Children’s Film Association, The China Aizi Movie and Television Education Council, and the Chief advisor of The China Student Film and Television Education Coordination Bureau. 

Born in 1934, she is one of the first three Chinese women to distinguish themselves as professional cinematographers.  Since graduating from The China Northern University (1949), she has served as the Chief Photographer of the China Central News Agency, Manager of Beijing Reporter Station, President and Director of China’s Children’s Film Studio and most notably, held the esteemed position of the Official Photographer for China’s first Premier, the Honorable Mr. Zhou Enlai.

Among the films highlighting her illustrious filmography are; Sword Coming Out of The Box, The Spring, Spring Flower Bud, Love, For Children, The Front Desk Language Art and Ms. Jiaojiao, the Panda Bear.  Crowning her film career, Ms. Chen produced 3 international award-winning films:  Ou, Fragrance Snow, Drummer From Fire Mountain and talkative.

Ms. Chen remains instrumental in shaping the future of China’s television and film bureaus.  She is a strong advocate for bridging world peace through the power of communication and the cinematic arts.
